We believe children learn best when they are in a warm, caring and stimulating environment; a setting that is nurturing and fun.
We consider each person, adult or child, to be an individual and we appreciate their unique personality, skills and needs.
We believe that every child has the right to feel secure and valued and that every child and adult is a part of the Little Wonders family
Parents are a valued part of the team at Little Wonders. We have a regular newsletter explaining what’s happening in the nursery and always welcome any comments on what we are doing or planning. We have a comments/suggestions box in our entrance hall and also one for our staff. We welcome all comments and suggestions as they help us to become a better nursery and would like you to feel able to talk to us at any time.
All parents have a chance to speak to their child’s key worker every day, or a member of the management team if they wish. We encourage parents to accompany us on our educational visits and our “end of term” nursery day out. We hold bi-annual parents evenings at which parents have the chance to discuss their child’s progress in depth with their key worker and room supervisor. Parents also have free access to their child’s assessment sheets.
We also hold events that allow our parents to get to know each other and their children’s friends better, such as sports day, teddy bear’s picnic, nativity songs and similar. Parents are also welcome to join their children for lunch on request if desired.
